The Short Version

We collect very little. We do not ask you to register, we do not run a login, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone. We use privacy-aware analytics to understand which guides are useful, and affiliate links that may set a cookie when you click through to a casino. That is the whole picture, and the detail below sets out exactly how it works.

What we collect

Because the site has no accounts, we collect no names, addresses or payment details from readers. The data we do handle falls into two groups.

Analytics data. When you load a page, our analytics records standard technical information: the pages you view, the approximate region your visit comes from, your device and browser type, and the site that referred you. This is aggregated and used to measure traffic and improve content. We configure analytics to avoid storing full IP addresses where the tool allows it.

Information you send us. If you email the editorial desk, we keep your message and your email address so we can reply and follow up on the issue you raised. We do not add that address to a marketing list.

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. CBRDI uses two kinds.

Analytics cookies help us count visits and see how pages are used. They do not identify you by name.

Affiliate cookies. When you click a link to a casino, that operator or its affiliate network may set a cookie that records the click came from CBRDI. This is how we are credited if you later sign up, and it is the basis of how the site earns money. It does not change the price you pay or the terms you receive, and it never affects how we rank or score a brand.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking analytics cookies does not stop you using the site. Blocking affiliate cookies simply means a sign-up may not be credited to us.

We share data only with the service providers that make the site work, and only the data they need.

• Our hosting and content-delivery provider processes the requests your browser makes to load the site.
• Our analytics provider processes the usage data described above.
• Affiliate networks and the casinos we link to process the click and any sign-up you choose to make on their own platforms, under their own privacy policies.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We disclose data only when a provider needs it to deliver a service to us, or when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Aggregated analytics is retained for as long as it is useful for measuring trends, after which it is rolled up or deleted by the provider. Emails you send the desk are kept while the matter is open and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records, then deleted.

You can ask what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Since we hold almost nothing tied to an individual reader, most requests concern an email exchange you started. To make a request, write to [email protected] with enough detail for us to find the relevant records. We will respond within a reasonable time.

The content on this site concerns real-money gambling and is intended only for adults of legal gambling age in their province: 19 and over in most of Canada, and 18 and over in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. The site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the legal age.

We may update this policy as the site changes or the law evolves. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of the page. Material changes will be reflected in that date so you can see when the policy last changed.
