About CBRDI

CBRDI stands for Crypto-Betting Rankings, Deals and Insights. We are a small, Canada-focused editorial project that tests crypto and Bitcoin casinos with our own money and publishes what we find. This page explains who we are, how we stay independent, and how the index pays for itself.

What we do

What CBRDI Is

CBRDI is an independent index of crypto and Bitcoin casinos that accept Canadian players. We are not an operator, a payment processor, or a casino. We have no games, no cashier, and we never hold your funds. What we do is sign up at offshore crypto casinos, fund them with real Canadian dollars, play through them, and time the withdrawal with a clock running. The numbers in our guides come from those test cycles, not from operator press releases.

Each guide answers one decision. One page ranks the casinos that pay fastest over Lightning. Another covers which sites take Solana, or Tether, or run on a no-KYC sign-up. The homepage carries the overall ranking; the topic pages go deep on a single coin, rail, or feature so you are not reading the same 2,000 words twelve times.

1

We test, not collect

Every payout figure, deposit minimum and confirmation time is from a real funded account, not a brand fact sheet.

2

Canada first

Limits, tax notes, on-ramps and helplines are written for a player in Ontario or Alberta, not a generic global reader.

3

One decision per page

Coin, rail, anonymity, app: each guide settles a single question instead of repeating a catch-all overview.

Who it is for

Who CBRDI Is For

If you are a Canadian who already holds some crypto, or is willing to buy a little, and wants to know which casino will actually pay you back quickly, this index is built for you. We assume you can move coins between a wallet and a cashier but do not assume you want to read a whitepaper. The aim is a clear, tested answer to a plain question: where does my money go in, and how fast does it come out.

We are not here to convince anyone to gamble. If you do not play, the index is simply not for you, and that is fine. Gambling is entertainment with a cost, never a way to make money. We say so on every page and we mean it.

Editorial independence

How We Stay Independent

An affiliate site has an obvious conflict of interest, so we want to be blunt about how we handle ours. Commission never moves a casino up or down. The ranking is set by the scoring model on our methodology page, and the model is filled in from test results before anyone checks what a brand pays us. A site that pays a high commission and fails the payout test ranks below a site that pays nothing and clears in a minute.

  • Rankings are scored from test data first; commission rates are not an input to the score.
  • A brand cannot buy a position, a badge, or a higher rating. There is no paid placement.
  • We keep brands in the index that we would warn a friend away from, clearly flagged, so the list stays honest rather than only flattering our partners.
  • When a site degrades, slow payouts, a licence change, a support collapse, we drop or downgrade it regardless of the commission.
The business model

How We Make Money

CBRDI earns a commission when you sign up through our links; it never affects our rankings or scores. When you click out to a casino from one of our pages and go on to register and play, the operator may pay us a referral fee. That is the entire business model. It costs you nothing extra, the odds and bonuses you receive are the same as going direct, and the fee is paid by the operator out of its marketing budget.

We disclose this on every page because it is the only thing that lets us fund real-money testing without charging readers. The trade we make with you is simple: we keep the commission out of the scoring, and in return you get a ranking you can trust. If a link is not an affiliate link, it carries no fee and no preference either way.

If we ever could not test a brand honestly because of a commercial relationship, we would leave it out of the ranking rather than fudge the score.

Selection

How Brands Get Into the Index

A casino does not appear on CBRDI because it asked to. We start from the brands Canadians actually reach for, add the ones that surface repeatedly in crypto-casino communities, and then test each one ourselves before it earns a spot. A brand has to clear three gates to stay listed.

  1. 1
It accepts Canadians and real crypto depositsWe confirm registration, a CAD-to-crypto deposit and a working cashier from a Canadian connection before anything else.
  2. 2
It paid us outWe fund the account, play, and withdraw. A brand that stalls or refuses a legitimate cashout does not make the list, whatever it advertises.
  3. 3
It holds an offshore licence and basic player protectionNone hold a Canadian provincial licence, so we record the offshore regulator and check that terms, limits and support are real, not decorative.

The full weighting behind the order, and exactly what each test measures, lives on the methodology page.

The people

Who Writes This

The testing and the writing are led by Nick Ferreira, a Toronto-based crypto-casino and payments analyst who has spent close to a decade funding and timing online casinos. His focus is the part that matters most to a crypto player: how the cashier handles Bitcoin and altcoin deposits, how fast the withdrawal clears, and how clean the CAD-to-crypto on-ramp is. Every payout figure in the guides comes from a Canadian-funded test that he ran.

You can read his full background, areas of expertise and testing approach on his profile.

Getting value from it

How to Use the Index

Start with the question you actually have. If it is speed, go to the instant-withdrawal ranking. If it is a specific coin, open that coin’s guide. If anonymity matters most, the no-KYC page is the one. Each guide leads with the ranking, so you can act on it in seconds, and follows with the testing detail if you want to understand why the order is what it is.

Read the methodology page once and the rankings stop being a black box. Read the responsible-gambling page before you deposit, every time. And treat every figure as a snapshot: cashier behaviour, bonuses and limits change, so we re-test on a schedule and date every page.
