Nicknamed “Mickey Mouse Town” after its unique architectural style of homes in the Upper Warfield area, Warfield was incorporated December 8, 1952. Located west of Trail and north of Rossland on Highway 3B, Warfield has a population of 1,695 (though the total population of the Lower Columbia (including Fruitvale, Montrose, Trail, Warfield, Rossland and Regional District Kootenay Boundary Areas A and B totals 19,220). This quaint family-orientated community offers restaurants, shopping, banking and other amenities in the village centre as well as an outdoor community swimming pool and Elementary school.
