Grand Forks
Set in a beautiful extensive valley near the Christina Range of the Monashee Mountains at the confluence of the Granby River and Kettle River, Grand Forks residents enjoy a semi-arid climate with fairly low precipitation, mild winters and hot summers. Incorporated April 15, 1897, its current population is 3,985 (though the total population of the Boundary Country (including Grand Forks, Greenwood and Midway and Regional District Kootenay Boundary Areas C, D and E) totals 11,915).
