Nelson Culture Tourism Strategy

The objectives of this cultural tourism strategy included: further the dialogue on defining a common understanding of cultural tourism, including its strengths, challenges and support requirements. Appendix 1 includes the terminology and standards used throughout the project to assist in furthering the dialogue; understanding and defining the level of acceptance for the benefits and risks to cultural resources when they are marketed as tourism products (e.g. questions of sustainability); to support creative thinking so as to identify new means of framing the opportunities and challenges.
