Greenwood

Greenwood

Known as “Canada’s Smallest City”, Greenwood is located in the southern Monashee Mountains between the Okanagan Valley and Kootenay Rockies region. Greenwood’s history goes back to the late 1800s with a short-lived mining boom. The charming downtown reveals 31 historic buildings and structures, and also details of its wartime Japanese-Canadian internment camp in 1942. This historic city is now a proud gateway to the Trans Canada Trail, with numerous hiking and cycling trails, and beautiful mountain lakes and streams to explore.
