Situated on the Crowsnest Highway, the Village of Midway (incorporated May 25, 1967) is located between Greenwood and Rock Creek. Beginning as a Canadian Pacific Railway centre point for distribution of iron ore in 1899, Midway became the western terminus of the Columbia and Western Railway by 1900. Situated approximately mid-way between the Rockies and the Pacific, residents and tourists enjoy many outdoor recreational opportunities such as hiking, biking, golfing, and tubing down the beautiful Kettle River.
